PURPOSE OF "IVC - 2MD"
The IVS-2MD air target simulator is a training-combat missile and is designed to simulate modern, small-sized, high-speed air attack vehicles in the radar and optical wavelength ranges and to emit active interference in the frequency range of 7.5GHz to 15GHz. used for the training of combat units equipped with anti-aircraft defenses operating at medium and short distances, as well as in the development and testing of new anti-aircraft missile systems. It is fired from the BM-21 launcher of the 9K51 Grad rocket launcher or from the PU-2MD launcher and has the same ballistic characteristics as the 9M22U (M210F) standard rocket launcher.
