DEVICE OF THE S-8DM-BE ROCKET
Device The S-8DM-BE unguided aviation missile consists of a warhead, shelled with a solid volumetric detonating mixture, with a piezo-electric explosive device and a jet engine installed in it. The jet engine is a solid ballistic propellant and in the temperature range of 213 k to 333 k has the following characteristics: a total thrust impulse of 5394 N.s, to 5984 N.S; operating time from 0.45s to 1.3s. The warhead has a thermobaric action and upon detonation, a high-energy cloud is formed from the components of the bulk detonating mixture. In terms of high-explosive action, the explosion of the cloud is equivalent to the explosion of 5.5-6 kg of TNT. The detonator ensures safe operation during service handling of the missile and reliable action on impact and on any type of surface, even with ricochet angles of meeting the target.
